Day 2 feedback on version 3.1.0.4

Mike,

Opened FF this afternoon only to find all Wizz toolbar icons & text had migrated to the right hand side of the toolbar. A restart of FF and they were all back on the left again. A minor problem/issue, to be sure, though I thought that you might like to know of it. Whether it is of any significance or not (I don't know) I had not used Stumbleupon at all these last few days, and certainly not since the Wizz update.

I'm reluctant to try the other "fix" that I've seen on the blog of totally deleting FF and then re-installing, if only because of the amount of info stored in FF. I know how to back up my bookmarks easily enough, but not passwords etc.

I trust I'm not being a "nit picker" and that the above is of some use to you. If not, don't hesitate to tell me to be quiet! :)

Regards

@Other Mike: Yeah, the additional toolbar buttons are documented here in the online help: - http://www.wizzrss.com/helpwiki/index.php/Additional_Toolbar_Buttons

Unfortunately, disabling StumbleUpon doesn't undo the toolbar weirdness. This is due to the fact that StumbleUpon forces the incorrect currentset attribute to be persisted to localstore.rdf, so the toolbar stays weird, even after disabling StumbleUpon. The only way to fix the toolbar is to keep applying the correct currentset attribute to the Wizz RSS toolbar, which is basically what the fix does.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for continuing to apply yourself to solving the Wizz toolbar problem. I was notified of the new version of Wizz when I opened FF this morning, and the fix appears to have worked. All icons are now grouped to the left and have their text descriptions beside them

I had found a workaround which worked well enough for me in the interim - In FF's View/Toolbars/Customise I had found a button for "Wizz RSS" which I was able to drag and drop on to the browser's navigation toolbar. Clicking that had the effect of toggling the Wizz Sidebar thus allowing me to access my feeds within the browser regardless of whether the toggle icon was available in the Wizz toolbar. I had meant to let you know about that previously, but I think that maybe senility is setting in!

And Stumbleupon is one the dozen or so add-ons that I have installed. Interestingly though, even with Stumbleupon disabled, the weirdness had persisted. Still, it's good that things are now back to normal - I hope it stays that way!

Regards
