This is very important, so please take careful note: If you have been using Wizz RSS News Reader with Firefox 2 and plan to migrate to Firefox 3, please ensure that you do an OPML export of your feeds BEFORE upgrading. Because of changes in the way Firefox 3 stores its bookmarks, you might lose your feeds. Doing an OPML export before upgrading is insurance against losing your feeds. If you do lose your feeds, import the OPML you exported, and all should be back to normal.
The notice shown above is displayed on the Wizz RSS home page. If you failed to read the notice, or upgraded before reading the notice, or don’t know what OPML stands for, or whatever, maybe the following will help: -
1) Click Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks…
2) Under All Bookmarks you should see a folder called Wizz RSS
3) Expand the Bookmarks Menu tree node
4) Under Bookmarks Menu you should find another folder called Wizz RSS
5) Drag and drop all of your feeds from the Wizz RSS folder under Bookmarks Menu to the Wizz RSS folder under All Bookmarks
6) If you have the Wizz RSS sidebar open, you should see your feeds poping into the Category/Feed tree as you drag and drop them.
7) That’s it!

Tip:
If, like me, you also have Sage Too installed,
you can point the default folder of Sage Too
to the Wizz RSS folder use one folder for both
programs.
And only have to maintain one feed folder for
both programs.
New users to Sage might also take note that
you can customize the layout by using custom
CSS Style Sheets:

Great great. You have just saved a life, my life.
I’ve just installed Firefox 3 without save feed and i was desperate.
Thanks
Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me. There was a problem with the upgrade from FF 2 to FF 3, and I lost my bookmarks.
And, no, I didn’t see the notice probably because I didn’t download Firefox 3 the day it was released, so I didn’t upgrade Wizz RSS the day the home page was pushed.
I do what I can to keep people informed. In fact I know that I go much further than most other Firefox extension developers do, in trying to keep Wizz RSS users abreast of “happenings.”
I get crapped on because of my attempts to keep people informed, and I get crapped on when my attempts to inform fail. Short of sending an email to every single Wizz RSS user (Which I can’t do because I don’t have their email addresses, and even if I did, I’m sure there’d be a tsunami of spam complaints, and many people wouldn’t read it) I do what I can. One of the main reasons I run this blog and the forum is out of the hope that people will take the time to read the stuff that has been posted, and by so doing, keep themselves informed.
I’m a user, not a developer, so take this FWIW: all of my old version Sage feeds were also saved in bookmarks in Firefox (whether I set it up this way or if this is a default I don’t remember). So, I just dragged and dropped them from bookmarks into the new Sage feed view and the problem was solved!
